Frequently Asked Questions

You should find all the answers to some common questions here, but let me know if that’s not the case and I will help.

When can I start baby massage with my newborn?

It is never to early to start gentle massage and nurturing touch with your baby. Babies are able to join my classes after their 8 week GP check.

What should I bring to the classes?

Please bring a small towel for your baby to lie on. Mats, props and cushions are provided at the venue.

Why do I need to complete a medical questionnaire?

Information is needed to make sure it is safe and appropriate for your baby to attend the class and in order for me to make any special arrangements or adjustments to sessions.

What if my baby is unwell?

All happy and healthy babies can participate in sessions. Babies who have sickness or infection will be unable to attend until well.

My baby had their immunisations recently, is it safe to massage?

Babies can attend 48 hours after vaccinations, to avoid any side effects or fever.

What if I miss a class?

Please refer to my booking terms and conditions.

What  if my cries or is hungry during the class?

Your baby is at the centre of my courses and you are encouraged to respond to their needs at any point. Feeding, changing and soothing are all welcomed.

It is recommended that when possible babies feed at least 30 minutes before massage.

What is your cancellation policy?

Refer to booking terms and conditions.

What hygiene measures are in place?

For classes held on site, all equipment is washed and sanitised with antibacterial  products. High standards of hygiene are practiced and hand sanitiser is provided. All props are deep cleaned after use and before next handling. Track and trace systems in place.

Do I need to bring my own massage oil?

Organic sunflower oil will be provided. It is advisable to undertake a skin patch test before first use and avoid sun exposure after use.

I am signed up to a virtual course, what equipment do I need?

To make sure you and your baby are comfortable a small blanket, cushion, small towel and changing mat are needed.
